Membership will take you on a personal growth journey. Zonta is an international service club, not a networking club. What you put in through time, money and talent is more than paid back with the satisfaction you will get from helping others and making a difference to the world we live in.
Your heart will be touched by the impact your efforts have on the lives of women and girls at home and abroad through Zonta’s service, advocacy and award programs. You will be inspired when you meet the women who have survived poverty, violence and substance abuse and turned their lives around through education. You may be challenged when you choose to mentor a refugee – and be rewarded as you help them transition into Australian society.
Your head will be engaged as you learn what it means to be part of a global service organization with sound governance processes and fiduciary responsibilities. You will grow as a leader in this voluntary organization as you choose to take on roles on committees and boards at the club, district and international levels of Zonta. You will learn by doing.
What’s more, you will be supported by other members to stretch yourself in a safe space. We want you to enjoy your membership!
For the Club to be successful, members need to commit to Zonta’s mission and be positive and supportive of each other. Prospective members are asked to attend a few meetings before joining, so you can meet other members, feel comfortable and ensure Zonta will be a good fit for you.
The Club meets on the second Thursday of each month at St Catherine’s College, University of Western Australia, Nedlands. This dinner meeting usually has a guest speaker and is a time for members to catch up on what is going on in the club.
